Deveneam membri NATO si reveneam, in sfarsit, de partea buna a istoriei.

A venit apoi in Romania, la invitatia ministrului apararii de atunci Ioan Mircea Pascu, si a vizitat inclusiv Baza Aeriana Mihail Kogalniceanu. M-a remarcat acolo, mi-a strans mana si am schimbat cateva cuvinte.

Thank you and rest in peace, Donald Rumsfeld !

I’ve met twice #DonaldRumsfeld, a privilege for me as a journalist. He was a hawk, with strong conservative views. And a Republican in total opposition with today lunatics from #GOP. #Romania owes so much to #DonaldRumsfeld for joining @NATO during his mandate as DoD chief.

RIP
