Intr-un interesant articol din New York Times despre ruperea de trecutul comunist si apucaturile dictatoriale din perioada Razboiului Rece in Europa de Est, apare urmatorul pasaj : “During the recent demonstrations in Romania, signs and chants by protestors in Bucharest equated the increasingly unpopular, and critics say ever more authoritarian, President Traian Basescu with the deposed dictator Nicolae Ceausescu“.
